Driveway Gate Automation & Motorized Gate Systems
Engineered to Open Effortlessly
Your driveway gate is the first thing visitors see and the last thing you think about on your way out. We design, build, automate, and install complete driveway gate systems — from the gate itself to the motor, intercom, keypad, and smartphone control.
Because we handle every component ourselves, your system works as one. No mismatched hardware, no subcontracted guesswork, no finger-pointing if something needs service. One team, one warranty, one point of contact.

Gate Automation Systems
Your driveway gate should open as smoothly as your garage door. We install professional-grade gate operators sized precisely for your gate — whether it’s a lightweight aluminum swing gate or a heavy iron slider.
Installations often include smartphone integration, battery backup, and safety sensors as standard. We handle the full electrical run, conduit work, and programming — so everything works perfectly from day one.

Video Intercom & Entry
See and speak with visitors before granting access. We install modern video intercom systems that integrate seamlessly with your gate and smartphone.
From single-family homes to gated communities, our intercom solutions provide crystal-clear audio and video, night vision, and remote answering from anywhere in the world.
Vehicle Sensors & Loop Detectors
Your gate should know when you are coming. We install vehicle sensors and in-ground loop detectors that open the gate as you drive up and hold it open until you are clear, plus exit loops so you never have to reach for a remote on the way out.
Safety comes from the same hardware: photo eyes and safety loops stop and reverse a moving gate when something is in its path, which is what keeps an automated gate compliant and safe around kids, pets and delivery drivers.

Keypads, Remotes & App Control
Open your gate without reaching for your phone. We install weather-rated keypads, long-range remotes and smartphone app control, and we program codes for family, guests and vendors — including temporary codes you can delete once a job is done.
For app control we install LiftMaster myQ, which runs over its own cellular connection when there is no Wi-Fi at the gate, and the DoorBird and Ring apps. On properties already running Ubiquiti UniFi, your gate joins the same app as the cameras and doorbell, and we also install HoloVision entry stations. Where the hardware supports it, these connect to Apple Home, Google Home and Alexa, so you can open the gate by voice or include it in a scene — we set this up with you at handover.

What Goes Into Your Price
Every figure here is an installed price. The ranges below are general estimates based on typical projects. Your actual price depends on size, material, design complexity, site conditions, and automation features. The best way to get an accurate number is a short phone call — we’ll review your photos and provide a clear, detailed estimate at no cost.
Driveway gates prices
| Aluminum driveway gate | $6,000 – $10,000+ |
| Wrought iron driveway gate 12 ft × 6 ft | $6,000 – $14,000+ |
| Wood driveway gate cedar or redwood, 12 ft × 6 ft | $6,000 – $12,000+ |
| Mahogany driveway gate 12 ft × 6 ft | $8,000 – $16,000+ |
Automation prices
| Swing gate operator pair | $6,000 – $12,000+ |
| Slide gate operator | $5,000 – $8,000+ |
| Video intercom | $4,000 – $6,000+ |
| Keypad and remotes | $300 – $1,500+ |
| App control | $300 – $1,000+ |
| Vehicle sensor / loop detector | $900 – $1,800+ |
What moves the price
- Operator type and duty cycle — a residential swing arm and a commercial-duty slider are different machines.
- Gate weight and span — heavier and wider needs a stronger operator and heavier posts.
- Posts and columns — reusing sound existing posts or pillars is the cheapest case. An automated gate works its posts harder than a hand-operated one, so an existing column may need a steel post and footing set inside it, and older or purely decorative pillars sometimes have to be rebuilt.
- Power at the gate — already there is the cheapest case. Bringing it out is the bigger line item.
- Trenching and conduit run — distance from the power source, and what the trench has to cross: dirt, driveway, or hardscape.
- Safety devices — photo eyes and edge sensors, sized to the gate and the opening.
- Access choices — video intercom, keypad, app control and loop detectors each add hardware.
- Retrofit or new install — automating an existing gate depends on how it was built. A gate we build is automation-ready from the start.

I feel so lucky to have found Chris of Westlake Dream Gates! Am very picky about who I hire to work on my farm. He was kind, lovely to work with, professional and trustworthy in every way. When you find someone with this kind of ethic, and such high quality outcomes, keep their contact info in your "favorites" file. I've worked with Chris and his crew on two different projects now and will continue to do so in the future!Posted on Google![]()

Dealt directly with owner Chris. He is very responsive and professional. Prices are very competitive. The finished product looks and functions great and is so much nicer and more solid than the vinyl gate we replaced. Very high quality gate and hardware. So much more secure than most gates. I feel like I have a side door more than a side gate. I have already recommended Chris and Westlake Dream Gates and will use them again.Posted on Google![]()

Westlake Dream Gates installed fencing panels on our steep backyard hillside. It was truly a pleasure to work with Chris! He is honest, dependable, and very attentive. The materials used are high quality. He and his crew showed up everyday and cleaned up after. You can tell that his crew enjoys working with him. An overall great experience. Highly recommend.Posted on Google![]()

It’s been a month since Westlake Dream Gates created and installed our custom gates (main gate and a second dog gate) and we are still incredibly happy with the decision to work with WDG for this project. We wanted to go with something sleek, modern, sturdy, eco-friendly, and different from the typical vinyl product in order to update the well-worn wood gates we had before, and WDG delivered on all of those fronts and then some. Because everything is cut-to-fit on-site, Chris and his team worked with us during the installation process to ensure we got the gate designs we wanted along with managing the specific constraints that the walkway presented for this project. They were able to accommodate last-minute design needs without compromising the end result. And the end result has been great! Our family and neighbors have been giving us compliments about it ever since the install! The soft-close feature on both gates has been fantastic in that the gates don’t slam shut, reducing the noise that slamming typically makes while preserving the lifespan of the gates—something the old gates could have really benefitted from. Both gates were also equipped with kick down door stoppers, which makes it a breeze for the pool guy to get his equipment into the backyard without banging the gates in the process. We highly recommend WDG, Chris, and his team and will definitely be in touch when we decide to update the remainder of our property’s fencing.Posted on Google![]()
